Imnotatroll
I am sharing a folder containing a document called: stock analysis.xlsxThe following file keeps being syncd continuously:~$stock analysis.xlsxThis file keeps showing up in 'Transfers' tab in both clients.I suppose this file is created by Office. It's annoying to see this file constantly popping up even though I am not modifying any xlsx file for a long time.Is there a solution to stop this weird ghost file from syncing? Or is it needed somehow for proper functioning of xlsx (excel) files?
GreatMarko
Is there a solution to stop this weird ghost file from syncing? johmar
Is this a bug that has been reported? When I open a office file, the temporary file gets created. When saving and exiting office, the temporary file does not get deleted, it stays and gets stuck in a sync loop.It seems a bit extreme to have to add this to the ignore list in every folder. knwpsk
Bump for this issue. The suggestion above is to .syncIgnore MS Office "temp" files - is it correct that one would have to do this in EVERY folder? That's unreasonable. Couldn't we get a patch release that would ignore those files by default? My small brain wants to assume that that would be an easy answer. Thank you! Tel
This is in my syncignore.. .DS_Store.DS_Store?._*.Spotlight-V100.TrashesIcon?ehthumbs.dbdesktop.iniThumbs.db*~*.bak~$**.tmp*.TMP~*~$ And it deals with the office temp files. Notice the ~ before the $, thats the bit that makes the difference. It applies these settings to all the folders so one ignore file does all the folders
