hitchhiker
Hi,Great product, very few problems lately. One of the reasons I moved from dropbox (i'm now running a cloud-style btsync system with my team) was because db didn't detect file changes within symbolically linked or junctioned folders. It seems btsync is now having a problem with that also (windows 7/8) - is it just me?Cheers,Frank. GreatMarko
Given that Sync allows you to sync ANY folder (whereas with Dropbox, there's only one central folder), do you actually still need Symbolic Links/Folder Junctions, given that you can add all the original folders to Sync directly?! M0UL
how about doing the reverse? put the orignal files in bt sync and put symbolically linked in the orignal location. i dont know if this works with bt sync, but this worked with db. laurens
I do this and it seems to work fine (win 7, x64) - I particularly use this to sync my save games between several machines, works like a charm so far!And doing it this way saves me from having to make a shared folder for each game (and then adding it at BOTH the other machine AND the backup server I use). hitchhiker
Some of the development apps I'm using can't handle symb links either, so it's not always possible to work like that. However yes, for the time being I'm working around it.
