elanecu
Am I right to assume BitTorrent Sync will not work between MacBook Pro and a first generation iPad(WiFi) as that iPad has no camera.... and scanning seems to be the only way to enter the Secret Code?If so, it would be good to qualify "iPad" in the BitTorrent Sync app details. Anton Rudov
We will add the ability to enter Secret manually in the next update.
Hvmhvm
You can actually get your secret code by using the custom URL 'btsync://' (which is what the QR code represents). So type in safari on your iPad 1 the following URL: 'btsync://' (without the quotes), followed by the Secret Code followed by '?n=' (again without the quotes), followed by the name (I'm not sure if that needs to be the same name you assigned it when creating it). Anton Rudov
Hvmhvm, you are a hacker Yes, you can use btsync://[secret]?n=[any folder name] as workaround. You can type it in Safari or mail a link to your device and then open it in Mail. But please wait for a few days: we are preparing application update. Bill Tribble
Any update coming soon?  I'm also trying this on a 1st gen iPad - haven't had any luck getting that URL format to work.  It loads BT Sync but that's about it.  Not sure if I'm getting the final [any folder name] bit right - should it be the local or remote folder name? Hvmhvm
As far as I know the name is how you would like to see the directory in your sync tab. One thing to look out for: the btsync app should not be 'adding a folder' when using the link. Leave it on the sync tab, and after you entered the link in safari, and BTSync opens, you will see the folder added to the list.
