Mweelrea
BitTorrent Sync does not seem to obey its own ticked logic? On the Folder Preferences Properties, if ALL boxes are un-ticked, then any files are still transferred between machines, surely, particularly if LAN is not ticked (I assume that’s means disabled) and all the rest are un-ticked as well it should not transfer anything ! Why would I want to do that !, well I wouldn’t normally, just exploring the logical setup of BitTorrent, or am I missing something? always willing to accept that. Transfers are between Win 7 64 bit PC (VPN) and Win 7 32 bit PC. Mweelrea
GreatMarko
...particularly if LAN is not ticked (I assume that’s means disabled) and all the rest are un-ticked as well it should not transfer anything ! Read the option carefully - it's actually "Search LAN" - unticking this box will not simply disable all transfers over LAN!! If you want to disable transfer completely right click on the taskbar icon and select "Pause Syncing"
fukawi2
Read the option carefully - it's actually "Search LAN" - unticking this box will not simply disable all transfers over LAN!! So logically, you need to disable all your options, EXIT btsync completely and reopen it. Transfer should not happen because the peers don't know about each other, and they have no method (enabled) to find each other.
Mweelrea
Tried Untick all and exited and start again BitTorrent sync and yes it did not transfer, so thats OK. And the pause syncing does the same, but without needing an exit and restart.I dont have RELAY server so cant check that out.So I think its ok.
