Klugschwätzer
Is there an option in the PC version to limit syncing to LAN only without using the internet? 3G usage via the 3G-router would exceed the 10GB my provider allows me each month very fast though. Many thanks.
nils
Hi, it should work, if you disable tracker, relay, and dht and then input the ip address and port of the other clients in your LAN as predefined hosts.
Klugschwätzer
Thanks for your answer. So there is no "easy" option to do so. But will it default on LAN-transfer if two PCs are in a LAN?
nils
If the two PCs are on the same LAN subnet, the PCs should be able to find each other through broadcast messages.
Klugschwätzer
And if they do, this mode of communication it will get prioritized I guess?! I will try disabling tracker, relay, and dht and try to make it local only. Thanks nils.
85aggie
Ok, 2 windows 7 computers on same LAN. I want only one to sync outside the LAN and the other to sync just from the 1st. The 2nd computer has all folder options turned off and host is set to point to he 1st. 2nd computer still syncs with all other computers on that folder. Can anyone point to what I am doing wrong? RomanZ
Hi 85aggie, Unfortunately your setup is not going to work. When PC1 and PC2 are going to exchange data, they will also exchange all information about peers owning files, so PC1 will know that there are other peers in internet and will sync with them also.
