tuxpoldo
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 & have tried to install the unofficial GUI, (no icon launchers show up upon install)...Which Desktop are you using? In Unity you have sometimes to enter the name of a program in the Dash in order to see the launcher in the result list. In any case btsync-gui should start automatically upon the next login. ...& now I find, even after purging all packages I can no longer launch plain BTSync?!?$ sudo start btsyncnow returns;start: Unknown job: btsyncI hope this makes sense? What is "plain BTSync"? What did you have installed before installing btsync-gui? This does not really make sense to me. None of the packages I know uses a command likestart btsyncand also if you use the mere executable from BitTorrent Inc, you would start it withbtsync <some commandline options>
