Btsync Replacing Files With Older Versions

I installed btsync in several computers, including two that I don't use regularly. The program works fine in my laptop, desktop, and web server, which are in regular use. However, if I run btsync in my other two clients (an old macbook and an old pc running linux) some files are replaced by older versions. I imagine that this may be due to running old versions of the program, so I upgraded all clients to the latest version. My question is, can this happen again in the future? If so, it seems that my best alternative is to use the read-only feature for the old computers...

Older versions had some bugs related to this (especially the 1.1.x series). If you don't need your other clients to modify the files, it is not a bad idea to have a read-only sync for the other clients.

You'll also want to make sure that the time is synced across all the clients (using NTP or equivalent).
