dclong
There are multiple versions for Linux. I'm using Linux mint with Intel core. Which version of BitTorrent Sync should I use? Linux_x64 or x64? What the difference of these two listed on the download page?
Harold Feit
One of the two linux versions for x86 anx x64 are for older glibc versions (the ones flagged for glibc 2.3). Figure out what architecture you're running on using uname -a and try the regular version for that architecture.
dclong
Get it. Thank you very much!
doohickey
I'm a Linux noob. I did "uname -a" per the instructions above and this is the result: Linux LenovoLinux 3.11.0-12-generic #19-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 9 16:12:00 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux". There are no i686 downloads. Can someone tell me which one to use? I'd guess one of the i386 but I want to make sure.
tuxpoldo
The standard i386 version is OK for your system. If your are using Debian or Ubuntu or Linux Min or any distribution derived from Debian, you may take in consideration to use the Desktop GUI Package. This will make your live much easier. If you are using Arch Linux, there is also a very good package - see the same thread.
