Rate Limiting Does Not Function When Connected To Vpn

It would appear as if rate limiting simply does not work when connected to a VPN, at least with my configuration.

I'm currently running Mint 16, and have a 200 kB/s limit. When I am not connected via VPN, the limit is strictly adhered to, but as soon as I connect via VPN, the limit is completely ignored.  I have also ensured that the rate limiting of peers that appear as being on the local LAN is enabled, but I imagine this has nothing to do with it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I'd rather not have to kill btsync everytime I connect through VPN.

What version of Sync are you using? If it's earlier than 1.3.86, please update as 1.3.86 fixed an issue where rate limits were not being applied to LAN connections (VPN connections will likely be interpreted as LAN connections).

Updating to the latest build of Sync (which, at time of writing is 1.3.94), and ensuring that the advanced "rate_limit_local_peers" setting is set to true, should mean that your VPN connections obey the up/down rate limits you've set in Sync.

Currently running 1.3.93 and rate_limit_local_peers was already set to true. I'll take a quick look at the debug log to see if there's anything obvious in there, otherwise I'll send it along with a bug report.
