litvinov
Hi, I've been struggling for a while with syncing a a folder of 300GB on Windows server. As my experiments show, the problem is not in size, but amount of files: there is about 600k files inside one folder. We checked that similar volumes are synchronized well if similar amount of files is stored inside a folder tree, not flat. I realize that the problem is in the way we store the files, but still, is there any way to fix BitTorrent Sync to handle such big folders? The app starts well, but then slave crashes after it syncs about 100GB of data. When it crashes, it suggests to send a bug report, but for some reason, it always fails for me. After restart the slave crashes again after several hours of loading sync data. The problem is still reproducible with version 1.3.
frater
I don't consider 300 GB a huge folder. It's a big folder.2 TB is huge and it also depends on the amount of files...Nothing that bittorrent sync can't handle. What OS and what kind of hardware? RomanZ
@litvinov Indeed, the issue covers in the flat disposition of your files. I wonder, if you have a crash dump of Sync so we can take a closer look at it?
