Syncing Folder Named "sequences" Creates A "sequen~1" Folder As Well

Recommended Posts

We are just starting to use BTSync from our NAS, which is working great so far. Though we have synced a folder which contains two subfolders called; "library" and "sequences", after syncing between two devices we now have an additional folder called; "SEQUEN~1", that contains files. Why is this happening?

We also have the BTSync.exe file in the folder as well, which we didn't add.

This behavior is really strange. Which devices are you using to sync and which file systems do you use? It looks like one of the devices is using rather old "FAT16" file system which does not support long filenames.
