ZanQdo
Hi, how would I go about making sync ignore 0-bite files? cheers
piotrnik
Aside from adding them individually to .syncignore (or via a wildcard/formula if possible), I don't think it's possible. There isn't really a way that I've found to ignore or select files based on filesize (BTSync seems to be more folder-oriented than single file-oriented). ZanQdo
Ah too bad, my use case is this: My simple renderfarm system uses a "touch" file with the same name of the final frame just so that other render servers connected to the same NFS share can skip that file since it's already "taken". After the frame is done by what ever server was doing it it re-writes it with the full image. I guess this is a very specific use case.. I'd just like to prevent those temporal files to appear on sync shares at all!
GreatMarko
Do all the zero-sized files you wish to ignore have the same extension? (i.e. ".lock" or similar) In which case, you can exclude based on extension using .SyncIgnore. You may also like to consider suggesting the ability to ignore/exclude files from syncing based on their size, over in the Feature Requests forum. ZanQdo
Nope! that's the problem, if the frame will end up like "awesome-picture_0042.png" the placeholder as we call it is named exactly the same. Humf
