Force Delete Deleted Files

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, am using Btsync for servers file replication and we'd really love to have deleted files removed across all our servers instead of moving them into a .Sync/Archive folder.

I tried setting this to true but doesnt seem to work "folder_defaults.delete_to_trash".

That's because you need to set it to "false" - a setting of "true" will move deleted files to .sync/Archive, a setting of "false" won't.

Also, note that this setting applies only to folders you subsequently add to Sync. For existing folders you need to untick the "Store deleted files in folder archive" option.

For more information, please refer to this article in the Sync Help Center.

I see... the original config value was set to "false" and we'd still see files being move to .sync/Archive. It was probably the "Store deleted files in folder archive" that was still checked.

Will try again. Thanks!
