Sync 2.0: Empty Archive In Os X And Crashes In Raspberry Pi 2

I upgraded from 1.4 to  2.0.81 today and found a couple of issues:

1) The .sync/Archive folder is always empty in OS X (Yosemite). This works fine in Linux

2) The ARM version (again 2.0.81) installed on my Raspberry Pi 2 crashes every time I add a new folder. It just dies with no messages in the log. It is fine after restart, but it dies again if I try to add another folder.

Any pointers?

Thanks

Well, it seems that Sync 2.0 also crashes in OS X Yosemite. Looking at the .crash file it seems it died after my Mac woke from sleep mode. Some extracts from the .crash file:

Time Awake Since Boot: 88000 seconds
Time Since Wake:       6 seconds

Crashed Thread:        5

Exception Type:        EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes:       KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000901fbcc38

Thread 5 Crashed:

6   libsystem_pthread.dylib         0x00007fff90bcf41d thread_start + 13

It seems that Sync 2.0 was released too early. It probably needs another 3 or 6 months in the oven

Hi Helen,

I can't reproduce the crash when adding folders in the latest version.

However today I found that

1) the Archive is always empty on my Win 8.1 laptop. This is with version 2.0.93

2) the Archive is cleaned in less than the configured 30 days on OS X 10.9.3. I can only see copies from the last day. This is also running version 2.0.93

1) will be empty if:

- it's disabled

- updated files are more that 1000 Mb (max_file_size_for_versioning in Advanced settings)

- files you update/delete on Mac are not actually downloaded to Win (Win is in selective mode and files are presented as placeholder.bts)

 2) Sorry, could not reproduce. were older files placed right after you updated them on Windows? is Date&time correct on Mac - did you move it to the future?

1) The Archive is enabled, sync all is enabled in all the devices and the files are small (<100KB). I try adding a file, waiting a few minutes and then removing it. I also tried changing a file. The Archive is still empty

I found some references to the "Archive" in the debug log file. This shows that there are no files in the archive:

[2015-03-25 15:09:59] API: <-- getsyncfolders({ "folders": [ { "access": 4, "archive": "C:\\Users\\xxx\\BitTorrent Sync\\xxx\\.sync\\Archive", "archive_files": 0, "archive_size": 0, "date_added": 1427116468, "down_eta": 0, "down_speed": 0, "down_status": 100, "error": 0, "files": 1
[2015-03-25 15:27:08] Trash: scan for folder "\\?\C:\Users\xxx\BitTorrent Sync\xxx\.sync\Archive" started, max file age = 30 days
[2015-03-25 15:27:08] Trash: scan for folder "\\?\C:\Users\xxx\BitTorrent Sync\xxx\.sync\Archive" finished

2) The Mac time is correct (synced with NTP). I will keep an eye on this and see if I can find a reliable way to reproduce.
