Quist
On Windows for me the program automatically installs to "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent Sync" and I have found no way to change this. Is it possible? It feels a bit strange to have a program installed in the user profile path and not in "Program Files".My real problem is that I try to run the program as a service on a Windows Server 2008 (using SC.exe) but since the program is located under my user profile the service that is run from "Local System" can't access it. GreatMarko
Earlier versions of Sync did allow you to specify install location, but this changed a couple of releases ago, and now it's no longer possible to specify an install location. Thread moved to Feature Request forum accordingly.
rstarkov
I'd like this feature to be brought back too. My install is system-wide and runs as a service, and it's pretty silly to have it in a specific user's profile for a system-wide install. Of course the real underlying issue is that the BTSync team stubbornly refuse to support running BTSync as a service.
