Move Btsync Instance Without Adding New Server To My Identity

funkenstrahlen, you can move btsync binary file with .sync folder in it. But please note, that shared folders added at the Sync should be located in the same place on your server. Otherwise you will need to disconnect folder and add it again.

And also your peers (Ubuntu server and new server) will still have the same identity. So if you want to have different identity you just need to install Sync from scratch, create new identity and add folders.

So this will do the trick?

* Running a linked server instance on serverA with some shared folders

* Move config + .sync to serverB

* Create (empty) shared folders at serverB at the same location like on serverA

* Disable serverA and enable serverB

No new identity linking of serverB is required. It will automatically be part of the sync swarm.
