The generic "default" ignore rules which ship with Sync are designed to encompass common ignore rules for major OS's. Including ignore rules for EVERY os imaginable would lead to quite lengthy/messy .sync/IgnoreList files. As I say, you can always add your own exclusion rules to .sync/IgnoreList, however you may also like to add your voice/suggestion to this thread in the Feature Request forum too.
