chmars2020
When I try to add a shared folder to BT Sync on my iPhone by taking a picture of the QR code on another BT Sync client, I get the following error message: SE_SM_NO_IDENTITY The error message appears after I have taken the picture. What could be the problem? (Workaround: Reinstall app … and lose all offline data.)
Helen
SE_SM_NO_IDENTITY means that Sync didn't have identity in the device, thus a folder cannot be connected. Though it's not clear how this could have happen. Did you have any crashes? Perhaps the identity setting was not saved properly.Reinstalling the app will ask you to first of all create a new identity for the device. If it happens again, please try to notice what was done with Sync right before it happened? Then go to "My devices" menu and see details about the identity. Then write to support from the app and submit logs for analysis. Thank you.
jdavidbakr
I just had this happen after restoring my phone from an iCloud backup. Reinstalling it did fix the issue.
