Btsync As Docker

Recommended Posts

Guest

hi,

I am running rockstor as my NAS, they use docker to run btsync, which is quite nice. nevertheless they lack updating the docker container to the latest version.

my question now, why does the sync team not providing docker images with the latest version as they do for linux, windows, mac osx and other platforms and systems?

for some NAS systems this would make it so much easier to adopt the official docker image to their installations.

thanks for any hints

@herbert

BTSync already supports a majority of popular platforms, but there are always even more that can be supported. As our manforce is finite, we have to choose wisely which new platforms to cover.

I would recommend to note this request in Feature Requests forum so if anyone is interested can add his voice.

oh, already one there, great. is this officially supported by bittorrent or not?

I already used a "user" created docker image for btsync but it is not getting updated :(

thanks

If you want to know for sure, open an issue asking the person who hosts the repo :)

/e Also if you look closely, well it's kind of obvious, the account for the docker image is bittorrent - like the github profile. Soo my guess is, yes.

If it is up to date and there are frequently commits to the repo you should be fine :)
