BobAchgill Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 For those who are using BTSync for content delivery it would be nice to let the owner specify an app to install either by link to Google Play etc or the app that is being delivered with the sync folder. So BTSync automatically asks the sharee if they would like to install that app now. This along with the "Target Directory for Link" feature suggestion will make it possible to deliver large content along with the app that will use the content all with a "one click" installation of app and large data. Moe Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Such functionality already exists. If a user does not have BitTorrent Sync installed the link you have send that person will ask them if they want to install BitTorrent Sync. Quote
BobAchgill Posted January 27, 2016 Author Report Posted January 27, 2016 For example if the share owner is distributing media content (e.g. educational videos) and there is a specific video viewing app bundled in the shared directory that needs to be installed to view those videos. It will help to prompt the share recipient to install the viewer once that apk has been synced. This feature does not exist. Quote
Moe Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Well since you are sharing a folder you can just put a readme file in there saying what the recipient has to do.. Quote
