cpellerano
When trying to install btsync as a Windows Service in Windows 10 I get prompted to enter Administrator Login and always get an incorrect User/Password even if both are correct. Helen
When installing service, Windows will ask you to pick account under who service will run, and these credentials are checked by Windows, not Sync. Or, if you launch the installed under user account (not admin), you'll get UAC prompt , and again, it's the system verification thing. Or do you mean login/password asked when opening WebUI? cpellerano
Helen thanks for your response. It is definitely a Windows Security issue however I was hoping someone could shed some light on which settings need to be changed in order to be able to install the service. This is the message I get:

ivarson
Are you sure you're actually use the builtin Administrator account? By default you're often using an additional account within the admin group. Make sure it's simply not disabled (or use your current account) Also I suppose the machine isn't joined into a corporate domain? ☺

I needed to enable the Administrator account using: net user administrator /active:yes net user administrator password /active:yes

How can i recover Windows password ? Maybe the the password has expired , so it's not recognized , you need to set up a new password ,
