stephan83
Hello, i want to block outgoing connections for all programs except browser, thunderbird and bittorrent sync. Firefox and thunderbird are working fine with an exception in the windows firewall but bittorrent sync never finds other computers if i configure the windows firewall to block outgoing connections. i already created an exception for "C:\ProgramData\BitTorrent Sync Service\BTSync.exe" (installed as service) but bittorrent still doesn't find any oher computer. Thank You very much!
Helen
how exactly you configured your FW? If you haven't yet, add outbound rule to allow Sync's outgoing connections.

Helen
Hello, That setup works OK on my lab machine. However in your case the problem might be in service running under a different user. Change path to exe to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\BitTorrent Sync Service\BTSync.exe in Program and Services tab, see if it helps. Why the service runs under and who's currently logged in on the machine?
