BTSnc on OSX "buggy" since last OSX update

Recommended Posts

Dear forum,

since the patch from Apple the day before Yesterday on my OSX 10.11.6. BTSync really became buggy on my machine. The UI reacts horribly slowly and sync often hangs. I already downloaded the latest version of BTSync and reinstalled but with no positive effect.

Is anybody else experiencing these issues?

Thanks

Norbert

norbert78, you can open System Monitor and check if Sync hangs or Sync extension. If it is the extension you can open Mac Preferences => Extensions => Finder then disable and enable Sync extension.

Something else can be related so you can send us logs and sample process. I've send you the link where you can upload files.

Yes.  I am also having similar problems.  In my case, Sync is running but the extension is nowhere to be found.  It doesn't show up in Mac Preferences => Extensions at all now.

JasonH, thank you for reporting about it. Please send us logs, I sent you the link. Could you also clarify if you see Sync extension in the System Monitor when Sync is launched?

I have a simple configuration - two devices on the same LAN (a laptop and a desktop) both on last OSX and they stop seeing each othe (peers show 0 out of 1)

Sometime I succeed reviving them by restarting sync. Today even this (or restarting OSX) did not help.
