patoka
The gui screen comes up but sync says (not responding) in the title bar, this is from the log. After 30 seconds or so the not responding message goes away and I see '1 of 1' or how ever many peers that folder has. If I click on a folder the message comes back but then after 30+ seconds I do see the folder's contents and the error goes away again. This has been working fine for 3 or 4 months now. + System - Provider [ Name] Application Hang - EventID 1002 [ Qualifiers] 0 Level 2 Task 101 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2016-09-04T05:08:06.000000000Z EventRecordID 1746 Channel Application Computer acer_522 Security - EventData BTSync.exe 2.3.8.560 b58 01d2066982732fbd 1630 C:\Users\acer\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe 78574e52-725d-11e6-907e-1c7508aaf5b4 430072006F00730073002D0074006800720065006100640000000000 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Binary data: In Words 0000: 00720043 0073006F 002D0073 00680074 0008: 00650072 00640061 00000000 In Bytes 0000: 43 00 72 00 6F 00 73 00 C.r.o.s. 0008: 73 00 2D 00 74 00 68 00 s.-.t.h. 0010: 72 00 65 00 61 00 64 00 r.e.a.d. 0018: 00 00 00 00 .... RomanZ
@patoka How many files do you sync and what is the size of RAM on your laptop?

I'm not the original user, nor am I able to provide help to the original user. In fact, I need help of my own. I figured I can just post in this topic instead of making a duplicate. Same situation, BT Sync freezes upon opening the program. At first it worked for a couple of minutes, it froze and now I just can't get it to work. I have a laptop running Windows 7 64-bit and I have 8 GB of RAM. I am trying to sync up a lot of files, hundreds in fact. What can I do? EDIT: After some time the download speed changes, but it just freezes most of the time. Download speed also tends to be slow (~100 Kbs instead of 1000+)
Helen
@all, 1) please send the debug logs from this Sync, instruction is here. 2) when sync is freezing, open Task manager -> right click on Sync -> Create dump file. Take it and send together with logs to support. Please, don't forget to mention this forum topic. Thanks.
patoka
I copied your instructions and will send logs next time it hangs, thanks. I don't remember which PC had the problem, I have 6 running Sync.
