mr.canada
With Apple about to make Apple File System widely available in 2017, it would be great if Resilio were actively working on whatever compatibility and/or performance benefits may be possible with it now, rather than later. I don't know what changes, if any, it signifies for Sync. I'm just requesting that it be investigated and taken into consideration before AppleFS becomes the default bootable format for Macs. https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/FileManagement/Conceptual/APFS_Guide/Introduction/Introduction.html
Moe
Since the new filesystem won't be launched until next Fall there is still lots of time figuring out if there is anything that needs to be changed. For all I know there is currently no beta for developers to test the new filesystem and I bet when there will be a beta it will be launched for WWDC in the summer. mr.canada
I thought so too, but follow the link and read up on it - it has already launched. It was there in OS X Sierra 10.12.0. It has several limitations, biggest being that it's currently not bootable. That's what apple plans to launch sometime in 2017. In the mean time, it's there for non-bootable volumes. goddard11
With High Sierra coming soon, is there any word from Resilio on APFS support? I assume things like nano second time stamps and other things could help benefit Resilio Sync if used. Has anyone tested syncing from an APFS volume? Moe
Yes, I agree with you @goddard11 I would certainly hope so. I don't have any beta running but since the release of High Sierra is due in a couple weeks it would be good to know what the status on this is. goddard11
What is Resilio's official word on this? High Sierra is out today, so is it recommended we wait?
bikermondo
Well I can say from experience that it doesn't accept .btskey files for home professional licences. A popup that just includes the phrase SE_INVALID_PARAMETER is the most you'll get when trying to apply the licence key.
