Helen
Do you have any details on what exactly "Sync won't open" means? Ssh connect to your NAS and see if rslsync process is running (command ps aux | grep sync). If it's running kill it and start Sync again. Or reboot the NAS. Check the process again. A side note: latest version for QNAP is 2.4.4.

Helen
Douglas, the issue not confirmed. We've checked on our QNAP and Sync installed and runs correctly. Can you please try and manually install Sync v 2.4.4.? are you OK with ssh connection to your NAS?
MickeMannen
Hi! When I start Sync on my QNAP it runs for some minutes and then it stops! Same for both of my QNAPS My QNAP use software release 4.2.2 20161214 Resilio Sync - updated to 2.4.4 It works without any issues before the update of the firmware for the QNAP Update (still not working for me) Found this link: https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=310&t=128251&sid=e9e077bf4a87fc03489c5ca2be5206cf //Micke

If yes, can you please collect debug logs from the directory mentioned here. Also, open QNAP Diagnostic tool (from AppCenter) -> Dump log -> Dump. Wait for the dump to be generated, save the zip and send to us

RomanZ
UPD. Logs analysis shows that Sync gets killed by OS due to high memory consumption, which is usually a result of high amount of files and folders.
DiBe
Same problem here ... is there any update? @RomanZ, so what does that mean for us? Is that a problem that will be fixed by you? Risilio is supposed to not have a problem with high number of files and folders, right? I am using Resilio to sync a lightroom catalog and picture files. Total number of files is around 65.000 and so far Resilio was the one dependable solution for this. Thanks, Dirk
MickeMannen
Hi According to my log files the process gets killed because of lack of ram... I have ordered 1gb more ram for my qnap, I hope it solves the problems
Helen
@DiBe, Sync just keeps all files that are or have ever been in a share. So the longer the share lives, the more frequently files are updated/ added/deleted, the bigger DB grows and the more RAM it takes in the end. So for you - either increase RAM or re-add the share so that new DB gets built.
