forum email database hacked?

Recommended Posts

Just got this email addressed to the unique address only used to sign up for this forum.
Some data removed for security.

Dropbox and one other vendor got hacked so I dropped those address, a nice advantage to owning multiple domain names
and doing my own hosting is the ability to give each site a unique name to track situations like this.

You appear to have originally joined in July 2013. At that time, Sync was part of BitTorrent Inc.

BitTorrent Inc's forums were previously hacked.

Resilio have since taken over development of Sync, and those parts of the original BitTorrent Inc forums relating specifically to Sync were transitioned across to these new Resilio forums. Users who signed up on the original BitTorrent Inc forums prior to 1st February 2016 are able to use their previous credentials to login to the Resilio forums.

It's important to note that Resilio's forums themselves have not been "hacked".
