Hard drive crashed and Sync corrupted the copy

I've been using Sync to keep external hard drives on two computers in sync.  One of these hard drives had a hardware failure and is no longer mountable.  The other half of the pair lost almost all of the files and folders.  Is this normal during a hardware failure?  I somehow thought that the other half of the sync pairing would survive.

it depends on how that hardware failure actually happened and what it was exactly. Sync might have been able to process the file updates and synced those. For example, events 'files deleted' was received earlier than "drive unmounted".

Check Archive on the other peer - see if the files are there.

To investigate this case, please send the logs from both peers to support. You can take the logs from storage folder
