GrahamN
The website help for forcing sync to the LAN contains this statement: "To ensure peer discovery, enable multicasts in LAN and ensure that these go through Wi-Fi <-> Ethernet if peers are in different subnets. " The link in it doesn't appear to explain enabling multicast in the LAN, and I don't understand how to ensure "these go through Wi-Fi <-> Ethernet". Can someone clarify these please (for Windows primarily, but I have one Linux too)?
Gane O'dwyer
Your router should support multicats traffic which is used for peers to discovers each other in LAN. Make sure your LAN settings on router allow multicasts packets on port 3838, 1900, 5053. Here is you can find more details-> #5 especially. As for the router settings I can't give you any relevant info as they have different interface per model.
