[Solved]cannot upgrade resilio sync to new version

Recommended Posts

I am installed resilio sync (ver: 2.5.12) on my PC and trying to install the new version (2.6.0).

After download x64-installer from

and installed without any error message, resilio sync auto start. but it still version 2.5.12.

any log file for this ?

also, seems resilio sync v2.5.12 has memory leak bug (see image).

Please give more details about how you installed it and how you launch it exactly, etc. Check the downloaded exe properties - is it 2.6.0? do you have only one Sync instance working?

As for memory, check size of database files in sync storage folder - what's their size total?

install and launch steps:

1. double click resilio sync 2.6.0 installer, checked the 4 options and click next:

2. windows 10 show the `as an administrator` msg box, click allow.

3. resilio sync 2.5.12 launch immediately.

Does size of database files mean `C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Resilio Sync` ? the total size of it is 543 MB.
