John Fisher
I realize OS X Big Sur is a beta with all that means, and that if Sync does not work that is not Resilio's problem. I also realize that just saying it works on the current Big Sur beta does not mean it will work on the NEXT Big Sur beta, or that there aren't issues yet to be found on Big Sur. That said - I only have two programs that will overly inconvenience me if I cannot run them on Big Sur beta, and Resilio Sync is one of them. Has anyone tried to use it and have any anecdotal feedback? Thanks!
luomat
Unofficially, I can say that I have heard that Resilio seems to work fine in a VM which is running Big Sur beta 2. YMMV.
luckman212
@John Fisher and @tjluoma Seems to work "ok" for me as well - with 2 cosmetic gotchas: 1. The menubar icon is dark on dark so you have to really squint to find it. This is crazy low contrast: 2. If you add your Sync folder to the Finder's sidebar, for some reason it shows up with a generic document icon instead of a folder: I tried deleting the folder and creating a new one, making sure it doesn't have any custom icon, and no extended attributes, no hidden "Icon?" file etc. No idea why it's doing this. arno.p
This "broken icon bug" is really annoying. Any updates on this one?
