Best Way to Sync Files Between a NAS and a PC?

Recommended Posts

I read that it's best to install all the synced folders and files to the NAS first.  Then, install Resilio Sync and make the NAS the owner of the folders and files.

How do I then sync the folders and files to the PC?  As stated in the literature, the NAS sees identical folders and files on the PC and makes a duplicate folder say Folder (1).

Is there a way to tell Resilio Sync that it should sync with Folder, instead of creating a duplicate Folder (1)?

My second question is should I make the PC an owner or simply have read/write privileges?  In other words, does it make a difference?  I can always just access the NAS in order to give privileges to other devices, no?  When would I need to use the PC to give privileges to other devices?
