TiddyJoe
Hello, I have a slow PC that I want to share an encrypted folder on. I was wondering what side does the encryption ? Is it done on the main pc and sent encrypted to the receiving pc that just receives the file ? Or does the file is sent in the clear and gets encrypted on the receiving pc ? Also, is the hashing time consuming ? For a 8TB hard drive for example ? Or is there a hardware chip that does it without overusing the CPU ? thanks for the input
eltopo
I guess the peers that have the original (unencrypted) data do all encryption/decryption works, the encrypted folder peers should never have any undecrypted data (even partially), otherwise there's a big issue.
