I think it's a question more for Connect forum but I can't find that one (but to be honest I'm not sure if Sync is not enough). We are a school divided into two buildings. On each building we have a server with ActiveDirectory and file sharing on samba. Just classic MS domain environment with folder redirection and mobile profiles. We want to sync that two servers over WAN (about 100Mb/s) to user's documents and profile folders be the same in both locations. Samba server using a ext4 formatted partition and store a Windows permissions using xattrs and acls. And here is my question: can Sync or (probably better) Connect resolve our problem? Can it sync files preserving original xattrs and acls. Can it easily cooperate with Samba shares? Btw. have you (as Resilio) any discounts for educational institutions? Best Regards.
