New Android app install, folder permission error

Recommended Posts

Fresh install today on my Fire tablet, tried to add a folder via QR code, displays an error on screen "Don't have permissions to write to selected folder". When I click on a sync link sent via email, same error message. It seems the Android app doesn't have permissions to write to the default sync folder location.

I do not have an SD card installed (so files should be written to main storage).

When I open the Android Files app, Resilio Sync appears in the left pane with the Sync icon, no files appear in that folder.

When I check Settings > Storage > Internal Storage > Apps & Games > Sync > Permissions, Camera, Location, and Storage are all enabled.

Is this a known issue with the Android app? How can I fix it?
