Philippe Posted October 17 Report Posted October 17 Hi all, Recently, Resilio stopped working when I'm in the office. I get the error "No tracker connection available". Looking into, I came across this help page: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/210587126-Cannot-connect-to-trackers I understand this is related to firewall rules, my IT department must have changed some rules I guess. In this page, there is a download link to configuration file. And if I understand correctly, this is a good test to know whether we can fetch it. And I just realized that I can't download it using Chrome (Version 129.0.6668.90), but I can download it using Firefox (version 131.0.2). So hence my question: do I understand correctly that if a browser is capable of downloading the file, then there is hope that I can make it work? And if so, how? Thanks for your help. Quote
Merle1 Posted November 16 Report Posted November 16 Hi, I seem to have the same issue but on my home network, as of today (2024-11-16). On 3 different PCs so I would suggest the issue is on Resilio side ? Regards, Merle1 Quote
taylorr Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 I have more or less the same issue here. 1. Windows PC: last sync 11/16 12:11. Now all my existing "shares" have 0 peer and Resilio pops up the warning something like "No tracker available". 2. Windows Laptop: last sync 11/15 21:37. It has one connection to my Linux Sync. 3. Linux Server 1 (Lenovo): last sync: 11/17 07:57. This is shown in my 2 but not my 1. It shows the peer 2. 4. Linux Server 2 (HP): last sync: 11/17 07:53. This shows 0 peer to all other previously available peers. All 4 my Sync are in the same LAN (but may be in different VLAN). See below screenshots (Laptop screenshot not shown.) Brainstorming: 1. Windows Desktop has some funny update and blocks Resilio? 2. Windows Laptop hasn't applied that update yet so still able to connect? 3. Why my 2 Linux servers stops syncing? Quote
taylorr Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 A side topic: previous versions of ResilioSync (or BTSync) has the option to set "Trusted Peer" so I can put in my PCs in the LAN. This helps a lot, especially for in-house sync. Somehow I can't find this feature anymore. Please do bring it back. Quote
duckturduckenduck Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Having the same issue here. Must be something on the Resilio side. Local syncing between devices seems to be fine, just anything that touches the Internet doesn't seem to work. Quote
Fisher Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Same issue... any news, lead, anything? Is the issue limited to 2.8.x or the 3.x is affected as well? Quote

RazorBladet Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Same issue here. Noticed that my iPhone Sync App didn't sync with my local servers and started to investigate. Was running version 2.7.x on my local Linux servers and upgraded to version 3.x. Still same issue. 1. LAN syncing between servers works fine but they are complaining about no connection to trackers. The sync.conf file is downloadable and in the logs I see the servers trying to reach the tracker IP as defined in sync.conf. 2. Resilio Sync App on my iPhone still not syncing. 3. No other issues on my network accept above. I believe that they are having trouble with their trackers and/or network. Hope nothing worse has happend ... Quote
jmpr Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Normally I don't use the tracker. I have a NAS with its port open. I just had to have the alias (noip.com) of the NAS as a default host on a device, so that any device could find all the others, without using the Resilio central tracker. Today that system doesn't work either, and it should, because in theory Sync is a decentralized system, and we shouldn't depend on its tracker or relay. Quote
Anatoly Naumenko Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Today I noticed that synchronization is not going. Desktop versions show the error "no connection to tracker". I use 6 devices and each one sees or does not see peers differently. All in local network. Mac (macos 15.0.1, sync v3.0.1, ethernet) see Samsung, PC, iPhone 5; PC (ubuntu 22.04.5, v3.0.0, ethernet) see Mac, Samsung, iPhone 5; iPhone SE (iOS 18.0.1, v3.0.0, wi-fi) doesn't see anyone; iPad (iPadOS 17.7.1, v3.0.0, wi-fi) doesn't see anyone; Samsung (Android 13, v3.0.1, wi-fi) see iPhone 5, PC, Mac; iPhone 5 (iOS 10.3.4, v2.6.2, wi-fi) seei Samsung, PC. switching wifi or lte doesn't change anything. Ivar Forkbeard Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 I started noticing this yesterday I think. At least, some nodes could see others that in turn could see others, but none could see all of one another. Just thought it was a temporary fluke but now this morning nothing outside the household is seeing anything else and I'm getting the constant tracker error everyone else is seeing. Also: Been awhile since I dropped in on Resilio and am tickled that they're starting to come out with updates and making me feel like the project is still alive. Wondering though, I bought the pro version years ago - are they now just giving out all the features for free? No hard feelings if so - I might start recommending it to my own clients again if so! Cheers. Quote
RazorBladet Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Just some further investigation: Running : curl https://config.resilio.com/sync.conf Returns this json data: Â { "trackers": [ { "addr6": "[2604:4500:5:245::10]:4000", "addr": "23.111.157.86:4000" }, { "addr6": "[2604:4500:9:58::10]:4000", "addr": "66.165.233.194:4000" } ], "relays": [ { "addr6": "[2604:4500:3:80::10]:3000", "addr": "66.206.5.74:3000" }, { "addr6": "[2604:4500:3:80::10]:3001", "addr": "66.206.5.74:3001" }, { "addr6": "[2604:4500:8:24a::10]:3000", "addr": "66.165.255.194:3000" }, { "addr6": "[2604:4500:8:24a::10]:3001", "addr": "66.165.255.194:3001" } ] } I tried pinging both tracker IPs (23.111.157.86 and 66.165.233.194) without any result. But pinging the same IPs -1 returns results. Miyo Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Same problem here on all devices and all versions. I think the Resilios' tracker servers and relay servers must be down or not working properly. I have temporarily resolved syncing by using "predefined hosts". Read how to set this up here: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205458125-Folder-Preferences  Quote

Read how to set this up here: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205458125-Folder-Preferences  Thanks for the tip. My iPhone Sync App is now syncing with my local server. 1. First change your server configuration and add a static listening port: {   "device_name": "REDACTED", // "listening_port" : 0, // 0 - randomize port   "listening_port" : 12345, 2. Restart server 3. In your Mobile Sync App: Settings > Advanced > Power user preferences > 4. Add your server ip:port to: folder_defaults.know_hosts Example: 192.168.1.2:12345 Works for now until the trackers are up again! 🙂 Edit: You can stop your servers from hitting the defunc trackers by doing this 3 simple steps: 1. Add this to your config.json file:   "service_folders.use_relay" : false,   "service_folders.use_tracker" : false, 2. In all folder preferences disable: - Use relay server when required - Use tracker server 3. Power user preferences - set to false: - folders_defaults.use_tracker - folders_defaults.use_relay 4. Restart server Hope I got this right! Use this advice at your own risk! 🙂 Quote
kramttocs Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Can we get a staff response/update?  I understand the workaround above (and appreciate it) and short term it's fine but how can we prevent this from happening if resilio sync shuts down their tracker/relay in the far future?  Quote
qtairo Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Maybe ask Sync to add a parameter for customize Tracker ? or use a stadanrd Bittorrent sync ?  Quote
qtairo Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 It seems the TRacker Server is down , And I did not see any offical announcement for this fail. Â Quote
jdrch Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Came here to say I'm experiencing the exact same issue, albeit mostly on my iOS devices. Also, the Google sign in option for the forums has been removed. Nothing on social media, either. Not sure exactly what's happening but it doesn't look good all around. FWIW, in Belarus - where a chunk of the team had been located - authorities have been arresting family members of dissidents. So it's possible the team are currently in hiding or taking other protective measures. Quote

Rares Chiorean Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 In the folder list, select/hoover on the desired folder and at the rightest there are three vertical dots ( Options ). Click and select Preferences from the menu. Check Use predefined hosts. If you enter a LAN IP and port, it will work, but if you have WAN...It doesn't always work, port forwarding must probably be set in the router of the remote computer, which is overkill if you have a lot of remote computers. I have done this folder by folder but I was mostly referring to @jmpr indication : "or in advanced settings for all folders at the same time". If I could use a global setting this would be easier, especially since IP addresses on my LANs are dynamically distributed so I might have to change this setting frequently. Quote
