Thanks. Actually I just have LANs but it's already tricky (for me) because they don't have the same addresses plan (one is 10.0.*:* and the other one 192.168.1.*). If I could set up a local tracker as mentioned before that would maybe solve the issue, for now it's beyond my knowledge. Though, it would be nice to be independent of the publisher (I thought I was...). Quote

I have done this folder by folder but I was mostly referring to @jmpr indication : "or in advanced settings for all folders at the same time". If I could use a global setting this would be easier, especially since IP addresses on my LANs are dynamically distributed so I might have to change this setting frequently. In advanced settings, se image. Set it as ip:port,ip:port,ip:port or alias (noip,samba...) instead of ip. That way all hosts affect all folders. Fisher Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 I am happy to report that as of now, it is working again (at least for me :D) Quote
Miyo Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Works again here too for now. Waiting for the acknowledgment and outage report from Resilio. Quote
kramttocs Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 You can set it at the global level and it will get inherited to all the folders. You also don't have to disable the relay or tracker settings. And you can use machine name.local with the port number and then you don't have to worry about the IP changing. Of course this is only applicable for lan devices. Quote

Not easy to find... Great also that the regular trackers are up again. Quote

Thanks and one clarification question : say one PC in my Resilio Network has for Windows name "XYZT", so I would have to enter in the global poweruser settings, "XYZT.local:12345" if 12345 is the port number used by Resilio client on XYZT. Is that right ? Thanks. [XYZT as a reminder of the reverse Polish notation used by HP calculators back in the eighties...]. Quote
Anatoly Naumenko Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Looks like everything worked. Thanks to the resilio team 👍 Quote

Merle1 Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Just one more post to thank all that shared their way of managing this issue, for instance with predefined hosts at folder level or at global level. It has helped me a lot in this tracker interruption. Thanks ! Quote
taylorr Posted November 19 Report Posted November 19 UPDATE: I am in China. My peers seem to be back online already. Quote
jmpr Posted November 19 Report Posted November 19 Yesterday I asked for support to Resilio using the "ask for support" form in my Resilio (2.81 Home pro), and they have answered me this morning. There was a tracker problem, now solved, but they confirm my workaround in the meanwhile (use of predefined hosts in advanced settings, or folder by folder as needed). So... problem solved. That's the solucion if it happens again in the future. Quote
Philippe Posted November 27 Author Report Posted November 27 Hi everyone, I didn't realize there were so many responses on my topic. I have since enabled e-mail notifications to follow that more closely. However... Everything you reported doesn't seem related to my issue. All the messages are in the Nov 17-Nov 19 range, where there might have been an issue on resilio's side, that seems fixed. My issue is older (Oct and even before), and more importantly, it is still present. To summarize: I always use the same laptop, the only difference is the network When I'm at home, resilio works fine When I'm on the road, on my phone's connection for example, resilio works fine When I'm in the office, resilio doesn't work It says it can't connect to trackers I can't download the config file from Chrome But I can download the config file from Firefox And I can curl the config file All of this makes me think the connection to the trackers is different between Resilio/Chrome and Firefox/curl. So I try to understand what's happening. And I'm wondering if I can apply some settings to Resilio that would make it behave more like Firefox, if that makes sense. Thanks Quote

Philippe Posted November 27 Author Report Posted November 27 Thanks for your response jmpr. I am not saying the browser is related to my issue. I would like to understand why Resilio can't connect to trackers. And looking at the help pages, I understand that a good test is the access to https://config.resilio.com/sync.conf And I just realized that I am able to reach that link in Firefox but not in Chrome. Hence my question. Quote

Thanks If you experience issue only when you are in office, it could be your network admin's decision: he/she blocks something related to Sync functionality. Quote

Thanks taylorr. Indeed, and that's what I state in my original message. But my understanding is that a good test to check is to try and download the config file provided in the help pages. And I can't indeed download it from Chrome. But I can download it from Firefox. So I was wondering if there is still some hope to make it work, even given my IT restrictions. Quote
Merle1 Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Hi, Trackers may be down again, I just got again the warning saying they are not available. Again during the WE. Same situation elsewhere ? Regards ! Quote

Downloading the config file seems to me not a proof or disproof that you can/can't Sync. A file downloading in browsers is different from how Sync syncs. If, say, your home PC with Sync running has a public IP, you may want to try to add a Preferred Host in your Office PC. And then in your home router, you may need to forward that request to your Home PC. That may solve the issue. Quote
