fftrev
I have hesitated to contact support with this issue and have exhausted all self-serve options to come to the conclusion the issue must be related to the sync build in use on synology. Environment 1: WAN speed = 1 Gbps up/down LAN speed = 10 Gbps in-LAN devices: - various Mac computers running Resilio Sync v272 - 301 - 2 synology RS36xx running Resilio Sync package v301(1414) - keeping shared folder in sync - each Synology has its own copy of the same data kept in sync via Resilio -- each Synology has listening port set differently (doesn't affect LAN) -- each Synology resilio listening port is forwarded on router to specific device Environment 2: WAN speed = 1 Gbps up/down LAN speed = 1 Gbps up/down Mac computer running Resilio v301 - listening port set to match primary synology TESTING: 1. folder shared via Mac to Synology on the environment 1 LAN = LAN transfers from resilio+synology to resilio+synology or Mac to Synology, etc... all are line speed (10Gb/s) 2. folder shared via environment 1 Mac to environment 2 Mac via WAN = 80% line speed 3. folder share via environment 1 Synology to environment 2 Mac via WAN = 30% line speed 4. folder share via environment 2 Mac to environment 1 Synology = 80% line speed but spikey 5. Folder share via environment 2 Mac to environment 1 Mac = 80% line speed constant WAN speed testing (upload/download) on Synology with other services (http, etc) are full line speed. Only Resilio upload to WAN is going very slow in test 3 above. Any advice? All peers are uTP connected and ports are properly forwarded and UPnP enabled everywhere. Is the Synology package for Resilio just lower performance than other platforms? If so, I will run Resilio on another system and point it to the shared folder. It will take some effort to reindex the 40TB+ source folder, but it will be worth it to get 3x transfer speed optimization. If there’s something that can be done outside of the recommended resilio-published settings everywhere on this site (that I have already had in place), please let me know. Thanks. nunu
Hi, So, if i well understood, your issue is the upload speed from your synology to MAC over WAN and LAN transfert are OK ? Just a question: do you have removed LAN transfert encrytion for your Resilio on Synology ? (this could be a difference between LAN transfert and WAN transfert). regards
