[Version & backwards compatibility]

Hi,

What's the score with backwards compatibility between versions? I have a Linux/Windows mesh going on and don't want to update the one if I can't update the other and it breaks the link.

I've just started using this to have a branch office with our main (600GB+) file share mirrored over to it. BTSync installed on a Synology DS212j at the branch office with files coming from a Windows server at HQ.

Just wanted to post, if you get

"/usr/local/btsync/bin/btsync: line 1: syntax error: unexpected "("

after following fukawi2's instructions, it means you're not using the correct build for your device.

Change the download link (http:// etc) to the ARM version, which is http://btsync.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/btsync_arm.tar.gz

That will probably do it (worked for me and my DS2112j).
