Hi I'm on a Mac. I've linked and fully synced a new computer but I now realise that I forgot to update the default folder location before syncing.
It's currently :
/Users/username/Resilio SyncAnd I want to change it to:
/Users/username/DifferentCan I just edit the text in the directory field under General Preferences and that will automatically change the folder name and maintain everything as synced? Or do I need to do something more complicated than that?

Editing support for a syncing app is way out of scope.
Dropbox and Box have document editing and viewing solutions based on Markdown.

Markdown files are just txt files, Resilio already syncs them just fine. I use Resilio to sync Obsidian which is just a bunch of markdown files and it works great.
Sure, but they're rendered in the Resilio mobile app as Markdown code and they can't be edited with the mobile app.

Can't say I've ever come across any bugs in our workflow.

Support for rendering Markdown files (.md) properly in Resilio mobile apps would be great (including support for Pandoc's grid tables: https://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html#tables).
I'm increasingly using MD in place of TXT and RTF. Currently Resilio for iOS reads MD files as plain text, rendering the source code only.
In the longer term editing support would be great. Plus support for interlinks and backlinks would also be great, so we can effectively create Wikis within our Resilio folders.

This is something I didn't consider properly when moving away from Dropbox. This would be very useful.
How to change default folder location
in Sync General Discussion
Posted
I paused sync, changed the name of the folder in the Finder and then changed the name of the default folder location in Resilio general preferences, unpaused sync and everything seems to be fine.
