Wan And Upnp

Hi,

 

for a longer time I've synced my clients in a LAN network.

Since a few days i have a powerfull internet connection which make possible to sync with a server over the internet (WAN).

My internet connection doesn't have a public IP adress, only a private one.

The Bittorrentsync clients are connected via upnp. Everything works fin.

 

But what is with security if I leave the upnp open to the internet/WAN?

 

Any hints or suggestions how to realize a secure connection beetween LAN/WAN clients?
