Did you enable debug logging? The log files don't show much unless it's enabled (see link above for instructions).

Yeah, I also noticed the log data is rather sparse; so far mine only says that it loaded the config file and the shared folder. Also, logging seems to delete the log file on each execution of btsync. At least I'd want to see some kind of status at an interval, and also notifications when a new device is connected. I guess similar to the web UI statistics, except through the log file.
Edit: I just noticed option of debug logging, will be checking this out. see

I said "see above link for more information". If you look at http://forum.bittorr...-syncapp-issue/ then you'll see how to enable debug logging (look at Step 1).
I'm using the Linux version, and I tried it and it works. Just create a file called debug.txt in .sync directory and write "FFFF" to it. Probably needs btsync restart.
