Hi Guys, I'm sure its been thought of but what if with BT sync everyone could dedicate some hard drive space to be used as a mediator between 2 peers so that if the receiving end is offline your file would be split up, encrypted and stored across multiple nodes for a while until the receiver comes online and downloads it. To be part of the system you could only use 1/3rd the space as you offer others on the network. This would be because any file would need to be duplicated 3 or more times to make sure enough nodes are online when the receiving party comes online. And your files stay on the network max 1 week while they wait for the recipient to come online. Not sure if it would work or not. Just a thought.
