I'm not sure what the problem is, but I've been unable to install any 1.1.x version on my Windows Vista laptop. All of them showed the same symptoms; I'd download the exe, double click to start installation, briefly get a response and then nothing. Nothing showed up in Task Manager, nothing happened at all. I solved the problem by digging up my installer for 1.0.134, which worked as expected and proceeded to upgrade to .135 then 1.1.27. Things work but I have no idea why the newer installers would be broken for me. The install seemed to work fine on my parents' Win8 machine though I've not actually managed to sync anything with it yet, but that's probably user error.
