  1. Thanks for informing me. But in this particular case I would like no overwritting of the pre-existing files in the R/O folder (just because the R/W folder might happen to have the same files names in its folder). I like this default behaviour.
  2. Ok. Interesting test results with no overriding: The read-only node has file-b The R/W folder shared the file-a with the read-only node Now, the read-only node has file-a and file-b Created file-b in R/W folder The R/O foder does not receive the file-b from the R/W folder. In other words, the R/O folder's file-b does not get overidden with the same file name from the R/W node (and that's good).
  3. Thanks for answering mu questions. So, if the read-write peer later adds a file with the same name and path as file-b, then file-b of the read-only node gets overwritten?
  4. This is what I mean and in this order: B has file-b alreay. A gives B read-only secret for some files. B gives C this read-only secret Is file-b replicated from B to C?
  5. Regarding scenario one, what would be the behaviour if the scenario is as follows: Scenario one: Some peers have files in them before they had any secret what so ever (" before they became read-only").
  6. OK. What if B, C, D (all Read-Only) had files in them before they became Read-Only, or files added to them after they become Read-Only? Are those files are also supposed to be synched or is it that those files are ignored and only the files pulled from A are synced among them?
  7. Node A is the office node. Node B, C and D are the home nodes (same subnet). Node A as the master node, gives Read-Only secret to Node B. Node B gives the same Read-Only secret to Node C and D. Node C and D are currently syncing with node B successfully. Question: Are node C and D supposed to sync with node A as well? The reason for asking is that the nodes C and D do not appear to sync with A !
  8. Thanks nellie4568. In my use case, I have no control over node A (whereas B and C are mine). I can only sync in read-only mode with A. I can afford having my node B (a desktop) to sync with A. I have no issue my B and C nodes to sync in Read-Only mode to each other. The reason I do not want to C to sync with A is that C is a phone and, as I do not mind C to sync with B, I do not, however, want my phone ( C ) to sync constantly with A over internet considering the data to be synced in this case is over 20 GB.
  9. Computer A has huge amount of data that computer B likes to be in sync with. Is it recommended to copy the whole data once (via copy command) from A to B (they are in the same subnet), to establish what can be considered a "base" and then let them start syncing thereafter. Does this speed up the initial synchronization? Thanks.
  10. I see the "Store deleted files in SyncArchive" folder option on the Desktop version but not on Android app. Is it not supported for the mobile devices?
  11. Thanks for your reply. I wish there was an option available to share the read-only data between B and C with a different secret. The whole point is that I do not want C sync with A.
  12. Hello - I have the following use case with computer A, B and C (A and B are Windows computers and C is a mobile Android device): Computer A (Full Access) syncs with B. (B’s Read-Only folder is folder-b ) I would like the folder-b of computer B to sync computer C. Two Questions: 1. Looks like it is not possible for a Read-Only folder (folder-b ) to sync with another node using a different secret (rather than the Read-Only secret it's using with A). Is this correct? 2. What would happen if B shares its Read-Only secret with C? In this case, does C sync with B only (Read-Only mode) or C would sync with B and A (since it's the same secret)?
  13. A reply to my last question would be appreciated. Thanks.
