  1. It does help when I download the latest and compare it to the last one I downloaded.  If I don't need to update all of my machines, I don't want to, but I don't check the forum all that often and it WOULD insure the integrity of the download as well.  I'd consider this a good thing. It is not that hard to calculate the MD5 and post it on the download page next to the downloadl link.

  2. I did veryify this, yes.  The files is SAYS is synced are not in sync.

To attempt to resolve the out of sync and partial sync problem, I disconnected the files and readded them. I got all the correct messages along with a lengthly resync. The out of date files were not updated. Checking the ignore list, I find it is original.

I then deleted the enntire folder, added a folder back, and went through the enter a key path. After a full down load, things DO seem to be working now.

I have no clue, but I do seem to have a working system.

  3. For the past two days, one computer has received no sync updates, though changes are made frequently. Log file shows activity as it should be but, the old file is still in place with the changed file not to be found.  The receiving folder is read only.

Release: 1.4.93 with file size of 4902 running on Windows 7 machines.

  4. I have a similar situation with open office files.   They are unlocked when you save and EXIT the program.  A save alone, on my machine, does not unlock the file.  Since when you save and exit, there may be a lag for the sync to occur, it can cause timing problems if the machine is about to be shut down.  It will sync, shortly, but there is a timining issue.

  5. I have a folder shared on a desktop and laptop as RW

Desktop resides in my home office

Laptop is at the college where my daughter is studying.

As she changes a file, I get a sync notice.

Examining the file on the office machines, I see Name.odt.!sync which has a zero size.

As she works, I get sync notices except the file size and date stamp never change.

When she comes home, the laptop will sync with the desktop, copying the zero size file to the laptop and removing the data that she spent the day entering.

    What is going on????

    How do I correct this?

On the home network, this set up works flawlessly.

    Please help!

  6. I am running Windows 7. I have cable internet service which is hooked to my Netgear 300 router. 1.4.91 is my Sync version.

When all of the computers are on the home local area network all sync as they should. My daughter has taken her laptop to school, where she has a wireless internet service. Displaying the home peer list, the laptop is showing as offline. She sees the home peers as off line.

I have tried changing the listening port, hoping the school had blocked those ports, but I cannot get it to persist.

    Any suggestions???
