I suspect this is not accurate, as Resilio is literally the only application that I have had this problem with, every other install I have done has gottent the correct binary for the different architectures. Even when the install is first setup on the Pi3 and SD card moved tot he Pi Zero, it installs the correct binary for every thing else I have installed and updated.

I have had to move to the much slower Syncthing as a reasult of this problem. You've lost any chance of a subscription from me.

Indeed I'm facing the same problem....

I'm in testing mode of expanding torrent sync among all our branches and they buy the proper license.

Unfortunately all the devices are running OSX, RASPBIAN, DEBIAN LINUX, etc.

Wherever we use RASPBIAN (very small office, just to update a few folders), every time a new version is release I have to seat down, ssh to these oversea office, shutdown resilio sync, apt-get update, replace the binary with the correct one and then restart resilio.

This morning I have update one very long time sleeping unit here in my office.
Run apt-get update, updated almost 134 packages.
    133 smooth perfectly.
1 hang.... guess which one !!! Resilio Sync.

    Annoying.....

I have looked into synching too but I feel that, while it's a great in terms of security, it's too slow and it's not as somebody say "work out of the box".

If you see "No peers" please check these steps. if nothing helps, send the debug logs from both - phone and PC - to support.

    Helen

first of all : thanks !

I solved adding the string instead to proceed with Qscan procedure.

When I try to add folders via Qscan, the folders remain in perpetual NO PEERS (no folders is created inside the directory where they suppose to be stored : /storage/emulated/0/Download/Sync)

When I add the folders via (string) (copy and paste), everything goes smooth (add folders properly inside the storage, peers immediate, etc.)

It was not a matter of IP or PORT blocked as inside the same home wifi network (1 and same Wifi AP for all devices), a NAS Synology was working fine. I tried to remove the folders and add back and it was synching with the NAS I have in office.
If IP or port was blocked in the WIFI ROUTER it should have been also for the NAS, not only for the phones.

Anyway I solved the problem adding, as I said, with shared key instead of using Qscan procedure.

  3. I just tried one thing, after reading all the post about Raspberry.

I downloaded the binary ARM from here :
    https://download-cdn.resilio.com/stable/linux-arm/resilio-sync_arm.tar.gz

Untar, replace the original rslsync in /usr/bin with this one extracted from the archive.
    Magic !
    Everything is running perfectly now

    I have 2 question:
Please note that I made a test #4 which is the same procedure you recommend here (https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206178924-Installing-Sync-package-on-Linux?mobile_site=true) but sleeping away the ARM64 paragraph and I notice that, it still download the ARMHFversion.
Is there a way when installing on a Raspberry PI 2 to download the version ARM and not the ARMHF ?

Last question, connected to this above is... when i will do an upgrade (apt-get)  how I will avoid to run into this problem again ?
Don't tell me that I have to download the binary and replace it ....

Thanks for your support and great job.

jakeslack27 had it on a Windows desktop and solved by  going to AppData/Roaming and deleting the Resilo Sync folders. this solution will not work for Android.

Any details about what exactly problem your face? You're also asked to create identity on the phone  and when you tap on "Done" button nothing happens?

    Hi Helen

    first of all thanks.

I have an Android Phone (BV8000PRO) with Android 7.0

I installed Resilio Sync two months ago (don't remember the version) and it went smooth since then.
    I upgraded to latest version.
After that it can't find any folders previously add.
I then decided to remove the folders and try to add again but goes into "no peers available" although in wifi at home, there was another 2 devices with Resilio Sync sharing. It was working one hour before , before I did the upgrade.
Okay I deinstall Sync and install again.
    What a disaster.
When it start he was asking me a name as usual for this device.
It then crashed (application closed automatically)
I restarted and again asked a name for my phone. No matter I key in or not, after exactly 10 seconds It will close up by itself.

For a different reason I was forced to remove the MicroSD card inside the phone.
    Phone was without.
I then try Sync again and this time went through perfectly.
But then when I add 2 folders which are now synced among other 3 devices (peers online), Sync on my phone is telling "no peers".

I left the phone there for 3 hours.... same result "no peers".
It's in WIFI, same WIFI of other 3 devices, etc....

On Android 6.0 (Blackberry Priv) everything is working fine including the latest (same) update.

I tried one last crazy thing.
I said that I don't wanna give up Sync, so I factory reset the phone.
Apart initial setup, I did nothing else rather than give a gmail account to open the Google Store, download Sync, install it (without SD card) and it went okay BUT.... nope. Still NO PEERS !!!

    What could it be ?

    Thanks

  5. Hi Guys

sorry if I de-dust again this discussion.

I'm facing the same or almost similar problem.

This morning i dedicate a few hours in trying to figure out what is happening.

    I have 2 raspberry PI : 1x Mod. 2 and 1x Mod. 3

I have 1 single Micro SD card and latest downloaded image of Jessie Raspbian lite (2017-07-05-raspbian-jessie-lite.img)

    Test #1.

Burned the MicroSD with Jessie-Lite, put into P3, startup, follow instructions as per here :
    https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206178924-Installing-Sync-package-on-Linux?mobile_site=true

    Resilio Sync start perfectly.

    Test #2

Removed the MicroSD card from P3, plugged into adapter, burned again with same Jessie Lite, plugged into P2 and repeat the same instructions above on how to install resilio sync.

    Here is there result:

I ended up going to: AppData/Roaming and deleting the Resilo Sync folders.  I then re-installed.  I have to setup my folders again but it looks like its back working again

    Hi.

can you be more clear on how you did solve it ?

I have an Android phone (7.0) and it was working everything fine till I updated Resilio Sync.

Fed up I have uninstalled, re-installed 100 times but hang exactly as you described.

I still have the same problem after FACTORY RESET: I was fed up and reset my phone to factory default.
I installed RESYLIO sync from scratch with formatted SD card, etc (totally clean) and still got the same problem.

    Can you help me ?

  7. Something awful happening.

    (1) New fresh RASPBIAN JESSIE install. Just burned a new SD card.
    (2) Raspberry boot up -> sudo rasp-config as usual.
    (3) Reboot
    (4) sudo apt-get update
    (5) sudo apr-get upgrade to have the latest packaged
    (6) ...then followed your 4 steps installation as above.

    First 3 okay.
But when I do "sudo apt-get install btsycn"....

    sudo apt-get install btsync

  8. Good Morning !

I'm also looking for your help.

I'm not a Sysadmin but I think I can move around with command line, etc.

I have couple of raspberry PI 2 which I will like to use as BTSYNC cloud.

Till today I have installed few services, but new BTSYNC installation way is driving me nuts.

If I follow the method #1 (via official repo), everything seems okay until next reboot when the BTSYNC service won't restart.

Is there somebody can tell me what he has done to make it running successfully ? I mean apart the instructions stated here :

    http://blog.bittorrent.com/2016/02/18/official-linux-packages-for-sync-now-available/

I search all around for an updated HOW TO guide but fail to find so I don't know where I'm mistaking.

    Thanks a lot

  9. Good morning everyone.

    Thanks for reading this post.

I'm trying BTsync on raspberry PI with raspbian Jessie.

May I know how to DISABLE the PRO 30days trial license ?

I don't want anything to do with PRO for the moment.

I just want to start a plain FREE version and later on, maybe, move to PRO.

Can somebody teach me how to disable the PRO at the initial page or to make the license expired ?

    Thanks in avance.

  10. Hi everybody.

    I'm new here.

I have a question which is bothering myself quite a lot.

I own a Synology DS214 which is running perfectly since almost 2 years.

It's working as NAS (Cloudstation) serving 5 computers and 1 laptop that travel around the world which get synced thanks to Quickconnect service even with slow internet connection.

I love BTsync but I'm wondering (this is my question) why owners of Synology (or other NAS system) prefer to use BTsync instead of its native system (in my case Cloudstation).

I'm currently testing BTsync on my Raspberry + USB128GB pen drive in office.

Laptop and Ipad linked to it are working fine when I'm at home or abroad.

Why I should spend $$$ for a NAS and then again some other $$$ for BTsync license ?

It may sound a stupid question, but as I said I love BTsync but I don't feel like buying two product to do the same thing.

    Thanks for your time

    Paolo
