  1. I have a similar question - one computer - two bootable operating systems, both WIndows (7 Ultimate & 10 Home or Professional). The folders I want to sync are on a different physical drive accessible by both OSs but obviously I can't run both OSs at the same time.

Can I use the same folder with the same service files so I don't have to duplicate contents? (there's a LOT in the folders...) I presumed it'd act as if it's the same 'identity' but I need to experiment. Today I attempted without matching the ID but got the below.

I can't remember the ID of the other OS and it's currently dead. I'm trying to use a temp OS install on a bootable USB drive to just get the syncing running again as I'm heavily reliant on it and don't want to have to go through the process of reconfiguring all my various other computers and phone if I can simply 'adopt' the existing share instead - I have a lot of shares originating from this computer - some were advanced shares and some are read-only on other devices. Of course the ones that are 'standard' shares with read/write I can simply get the share key from another device.

  2. I recently had to relocate some "Standard Folders" that were shared between two computers. In order to do so I disconnected them and removed them from the desktop app on both computers. This deleted the ".sync" folder that contains the service files etc.

Once I'd performed the folder relocations (only the location of the root folder changed), I created a new share to one of the folders and used the key from that to sync the other.

Previously, I had been using some filters in the IgnoreList file to exclude certain file types that I didn't really need syncing - mostly temporary files, autosaves and some logs. These entries in the IgnoreList were lost, as I expected.

However, the behaviour excluding those files remains the same - those file types I originally excluded are still not syncing and I'm getting the orange error triangle with "99+" and when I expand that it show "Cannot download 562 files" but strangely that's on both, not just one. The reason given is the generic "These files cannot be downloaded as there are no peer sources online for too long time. Sync will continue downloading if any source peer appears online" and is just nonsense. Other shares between the two computers are just fine.

I've verified the contents of the IgnoreList on each computer and they're identical with just the default exclusions. I've restarted the app and even the computers - no change. I've even repeated the entire process several times to no avail. I'm running version 2.7.2 (1375).

    Any ideas?

  3. As per the subject, media folders that are being synced to my mobile device with Resilio are not being added to the phone's gallery, which I understand is because the MediaStore is not being updated by Resilio. This is a recent development. It was working up until at least 6th November. The Resilio app was last updated on 8th August but Google Photos was updated on 10th December and possibly another couple of times prior. I'm unsure when this started happening as I haven't been adding a lot of media to my phone this way recently. I only noticed because the Photosync app (http://photosync-app.com) didn't show two files I added today - normally they would appear in the Photosync app gallery as NEW but they're not there at all and neither is the folder under SETTINGS - DISPLAY - DEVICE ALBUMS. However, they can be seen in the Resilio app.

I've submitted a support ticket but just thought I'd see if anyone else has had this experience.

to remove the share from Sync - tap on "i" icon - Disconnect. It will remain in Sync on desktop. Tap on the share again and reconnect it pointing to the wanted directory on SD card.

This removes the sync from the device, but not the files stored on it. But you still have to manually re-add each one to the same location - it's not as straight forward as a mere toggling as that post might suggest.

I've just had the same issue which appears to have started on 6th of August. Presumably an update broke it. I'll be sure not to update much from now on, as is my policy with a number of apps these days.
