[a bunch of ".pending-*" files?]

Just in case anyone else runs into this issue.
Apparently my phone creates .pending files sometimes (probably temporary)
I had to add ".pending-*" to my Sync IgnoreList

I sync my phone camera folder to my PC.
My PC is ending up with a bunch of 0 byte files with names like ".pending-1611279511-_PXL_32545408592361_1610674711769_32545415278559.jpg"
I also get all my photos downloaded properly (I think).
What are these .pending files which can't be deleted?  Is there any way to get rid of them?
