gia-btsync Posted June 11, 2013 Report Share Posted June 11, 2013 I am trying to run bittorrent sync as a normal user. It is now running as root syncing all files with root permissions.I tried to rename my conf file to btsync.gia-admin.gia-admin.conf and start btsync with "service btsync start". Howver I amgetting the following error:gia-admin@giadt1:/etc/btsync$ service btsync start * Starting P2P file synchronisation daemon(s)... * Autostarting btsync instance 'gia-admin' start-stop-daemon: unable to open pidfile '/var/run/btsync.gia-admin.pid' for writing (Permission denied)What to do?Thank you,Max Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
